First Date
For I Bring Life Project: Week 1.
Hand in hand they stroll through busy London street to find the source of the delicious smell. Her hand is small, warm, soft against his rough and callous soldier’s hand. Every once in a while she habitually brushes her thumb against where it is interlocked on his. Navigating the sea of evening crowd he concentrates his senses on this ephemeral gesture.
The sun is setting. The golden glow of the Sun is penetrating through her translucent skin. She looks like red and orange light of his homeland. Her soft skin agains his. The gentle motion is so soothing he almost forgets the weight of desolation in what he confessed to her few moments ago. But it’s still there, the immeasurable guilt and all, he will always live with it. It will stay within him, but maybe, as long as she is willing to brush her tiny thumb against his hand he will feel as though everything is alright.

For I Bring Life Project: Week 2.
She stretches her hand out to him without a word. As his hand reaches out for hers he furtively anticipates with excitement. He can almost see tiny bright lightenings on the minute space between their skin where he makes initial contact. Electricity emitting from her skin tickles his fingertip. She’s just amazing, he thinks, how can she do that? Happens every time! He wants more of it, so he grabs hold of her hand.
Then as though she has atmosphere of her own, the electron maelstrom explodes into pink and yellow fireworks around where they are connected. Microscopic ambers fall all over his body, leaving his skin feeling pleasantly tingling. He knows it will burn him if he lets this cumulate, but he can’t fight this downfall. Colorful air glittering with her scent engulfs his whole being as he helplessly submits to her warmth. Only thing he can do now is reciprocating with a big smile and a firm hold. It’s so addicting really, he thinks, this feeling.

It’s monsoon season here, he said. Refreshing, they both thought at exact same moment though they would never know this serendipitous synchronization of minds ever have happened. Cool breeze occasionally blew over where they stood waiting. She was drenched in emerald colored rain drops. He looked at her radiating heat and life through her rain soaked skin. He looked at her in silence, listening to the downpour droplets falling on the faces of leaves, the blades of tall grasses and then the ground they stood on. Her body heat carried the air around her upwards, along with warm floral scent like her namesake. Mesmerizing. He closed his eyes in trance and for a brief moment he saw something so beautiful and blinding like a fleeting dream. Was it a flower garden in his homeland? He inhaled deeply to bask every seconds that were allowed to him. He couldn’t remember what it was as soon as his eyes opened. Instead his awoken eyes met hers, standing next to him fragrant and so alive. He threw his leather jacket over her head. Let’s make run for it, he said, let’s get out of here.
